Love Letter from God

My dear mankind,

From the very first moment I created you, I have loved you. I remember walking in the beautiful garden with you in the cool of the morning, enjoying your company and admiring the beauty around us.

But then you broke our relationship by eating the forbidden fruit. Oh, how that hurt My heart! Although I already knew you would disobey Me even before I created you.

But I couldn’t leave you in this state of being spiritually separated from Me. I had to make a way to restore our relationship. I had to make a way to punish sin without condemning you all to death. You see, because I am holy, I need you to be holy. I cannot get close to the filth of sin. I am pure and can only relate to clean people.

I also knew you couldn’t clean yourself up—you needed My help. That’s why I promised to send My only Son Jesus to be your Redeemer. He is the One who would pay for your sins and purify you from all ungodliness.

Before He came, I revealed who I Am—My character and My ways. I did many great miracles before you and for you, so that you would know My power, greatness, and love for you.

I delivered you from your enemies, provided food and water in the desert, and did many more signs and wonders too numerous to name now.

All I asked in return was for you to love Me back with all of your heart and soul.

As I said through My prophet Isaiah, “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to My commands, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea.”

But you are a stiff-necked people and would not listen to My messengers, the prophets. Oh, how often I longed to gather you like a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

When My Son Jesus came, you rejected and killed Him, but I knew you would. In fact, that was the plan.

My Son HAD to take the punishment for your sins, so that you wouldn’t have to. My Son had to die in your place. But since My Son is divine like Me, He was able to bear the sins of the whole world and conquer death. When He rose from the grave, He made it possible for our relationship to be restored forever!

However, relationships are always two-sided. I want our relationship to be restored. Do you?

All you have to do is believe that Jesus is the way, THE ONLY WAY, in which you can come to Me.

If there was a different way, don’t you think I would have made it? I wouldn’t have let My Son go through all of that agony and die for nothing. If going to church and doing good things would have been enough, then I wouldn’t have sent My beloved Son.

Don’t you understand? There’s nothing you can do that would be sufficient to pay for your sins! The only thing that is enough is the blood of My Son covering your sins, making you white as snow.

What MORE could I have done to demonstrate My love for you?

Won’t you turn from your ways, and repent of your sins, and put your life in My hands? I know what is best for you.

Come to Me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 

And for those of you who come to Me, I will give you the abundant life as well—both now and for eternity. Nothing will ever be able to separate us.

I will give you indescribable joy and peace that passes all understanding. I will satisfy you as nothing else can. I will give you My Holy Spirit to live inside you. He will enable you to live rightly—like My Son, so you can remain in sweet fellowship with Me. And even when you fail and sin against Me, there is forgiveness available to clean you back up.

My Holy Spirit will also help you to KNOW deep within your heart, that I love you and that you are precious in My sight.

I long to be with you. Please place your trust and hope in My Son, Jesus Christ, for I have given no other Name under the sun for mankind to be saved.
