Sometimes God DOES give us our dreams! Read how one of mine came true.

As many of you know I love to hike, and I have learned many spiritual lessons as I’ve trampled along trails. Although trekking through life is probably an overused metaphor I’m going to use it anyway—from a hiker’s point of view.

One of the the biggest lessons I gleaned from this hiking experience is that we need wisdom as well as perseverance.

There we were, 20 years ago hiking up Mount Ida in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It was a tough 5 mile trek up to the nearly 13,000′ peak—a significant climb even if you are in good shape which Ed and I were back then.

I have learned many spiritual lessons as I’ve trampled along hiking trails. Although trekking through life is probably an often used metaphor, you may not have heard it from a hiker's point of view!

Our sense of worth is wrapped up in what we do—and we don’t even realize it.

What did Jesus mean when He said He appointed us to bear fruit that will last? What does it look like and how do you do it?

We all want love, joy, and peace in our lives—part of the Fruit of the Spirit. But I found out that I had a totally wrong perspective!

It is true that what lies ahead is uncertain to us, but it is not uncertain to our all-knowing God. We can be CERTAIN in Him!
